Meet the Pastors

Pastor Nate Bawden

Most of my childhood was spent in Coon Rapids, Minnesota. I grew up as a pastor’s kid, fully involved in my father’s church until High School. I started attending Elim Baptist Church in Anoka, Minnesota, as a freshman in High School. In the fall of 1982, I started college at Moody Bible Institute. It was during this time that I felt God calling me to full-time ministry. In 1987, I started as youth pastor and music leader in Menomonie, Wisconsin. In 1991, I was part of a team that planted a new church in Blaine, Minnesota. Another change occurred in 1998, when I moved to Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, as Student Ministries Director and Music Pastor. The fall of 2001, my family and I moved back to the Twin Cities as Student Ministries Director and Worship Pastor in Eagan, Minnesota. Since May of 2005, it has been my privilege of being the Lead Pastor at CrossPointe Church located in Woodbury, Minnesota.

Miriam and I have been married for 22 years and have four wonderful children: Brittany, Alyssa, Alex and Josiah.  I love the outdoors including camping, fishing, golfing, more golfing and whatever else is available to do in the summer! My favorite passion is hanging out with my wife and kids. They are truly a treasure in this journey we call life!

We are all truly excited to be a part of the family at CrossPointe! It is our mission to reach the southeast suburbs of the Twin Cities with the great news of Jesus.

Pastor Dan Eggum

My journey started in the wilds of northern Minnesota. I grew up in Silver Bay on the beautiful north shore of Lake Superior, often spending my days trying to find something (anything) to do.

But like any small town Christian kid, I spent time with friends and was involved in a local youth group. My family attended Palisade Baptist Church where I learned a lot about a man named Jesus. At the age of 7, I dedicated my life to living for Him. I spent a lot of time in high school volunteering at Camp Lebanon (www.camplebanon.org), where the seeds of becoming a youth pastor were being planted in me.

After high school, I attending Bethel University in Arden Hills and graduated with a B.A. in Youth Ministry. During this time my call to youth ministry was confirmed. I interned at Trinity Baptist Church of Maplewood and First Baptist Church of Minneapolis. Both were terrific experiences in learning more about ministry and my role in God's Kingdom plan.

I’ve been the youth director at CrossPointe since March of 2004, and have had the privilege of working with some incredible young people and equally incredible parents.

My heart and passion is for teenagers to develop an authentic, powerful, PERSONAL relationship with Jesus Christ.  Our program exists to equip young people with the tools they need to carry their faith to their schools, culture, and their lives after high school.

I love CrossPointe because the people here are authentic and real about their struggles and victories. It’s a community that will challenge and encourage you in your faith, and has a real heart for reaching the Woodbury community for Christ. I am happy to be along for the ride!
