OUR BELIEFSFaith StatementWe believe that the Bible is the infallible Word of God, without error in the original manuscripts, and is our supreme and final authority in faith, doctrine and Christian living. [2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21]
We believe in one God, eternally existing as the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. [Genesis 1:1, 26; Matthew 28:19; John 1:1, 3; John 4:24; Acts 5:3-4; Romans 1:20; Ephesians 4:5-6; 2 Corinthians 13:14]
We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, and born of the Virgin Mary, and is fully God (deity) and fully man. [Matthew 1:18-25; Luke 1:26-38; Romans 9:5; Titus 2:13]
We believe that man and woman were created in the image of God, that they sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death which is separation from God, and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature, and become guilty sinners in thought, word and deed. [Genesis 1:26-27; Genesis 3:1, 24; Romans 3:25; Romans 5:12-18; 1 John 1:8]
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died as a sacrifice for our sins; that He rose victorious from the grave on the third day; that He ascended to the right hand of the Father; that He makes continual intercession for believers and that all who believe in Him are justified by His shed blood. [Isaiah 53; Matthew 20:28; John 3:16-17; Romans 3:24-26; Romans 5:1; 1 Corinthians 15:3; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Ephesians 1:7; 1 John 2:2; Matthew 28:6; Romans 10:9-10; 1 Corinthians 15:14; Matthew 26:64; Acts 2:33-36; Hebrews 7:25]
We believe that the Holy Spirit came forth from God to testify concerning the Son, convict the world of sin, righteousness, judgment and to regenerate, sanctify and empower all who believe in Jesus Christ. We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells every believer and the He is an abiding helper, teacher, guide and comforter. The Holy Spirit also equips believers with supernatural gifts to be used for building up the body of Christ and furthering God’s Kingdom. [John 16:5-15; Romans 8:16, 23, 26-27; 1 Corinthians 12:7-31]
We believe in the physical second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ and that His personal return will occur at any time. [Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Matthew 24:42-51; Matthew 25:1-13]
We believe that all who come by grace through faith to accept the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior are born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God. [John 3:3, 5; John 1:12-13; James 1:18; 1 Peter 1:23; Ephesians 2:8-9]
We believe that water baptism by immersion in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit is commanded by Christ and is a professed believer’s public testimony of their new life and identity in Christ. [Acts 2:29-41, 47; Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 8:36-40; Acts 10:47; Acts 18:8; Romans 6:3-4; 1 Corinthians 12:13; Colossians 2:12]
We believe that those who participate in the Lord’s Supper (Communion) should be born-again believers, walking in fellowship with the Lord Jesus Christ. [Acts 2:42-46; 1 Corinthians 11:23-29]
We believe that all Christ followers have been commissioned to participate in spreading the Gospel (Good News) to all people. [Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 1:8]
We believe that there is one true church universal, comprised of all people who acknowledge Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord. The Scriptures command the Church to devote themselves to worship, prayer, teaching of the Word (Bible) and observance of believer baptism and the Lord’s Supper (Communion). The Bible also commands believer’s to be devoted to fellowship and authentic community life—leading and serving on another through the discovery and use of spiritual gifts. The church is also commissioned to go into the world and assist God in making more disciples. The church, united and living in Christ, is the visible representation of God’s Kingdom on earth. [Romans 12:4-6; 1 Corinthians 12:4-6; Ephesians 2:19-22; Ephesians 4:12-16; Hebrews 10:24-25; Galatians 3:28]
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, the everlasting joy of the redeemed (saved) and the everlasting punishment (hell) of the lost. [John 5:28-29; 1 Corinthians 15; 2 Corinthians 5:10; Matthew 25:31-46; Revelation 20:4-6, 11-15]
